Blade & Soul: Hongmoon Rising, the prequel to Blade & Soul developed by NCSoft and Chinese developer Tencent Games, started its closed beta in China on December 22nd. Revealed to be a PC and mobile game, Blade & Soul: Hongmoon Rising turns out to be a mini-client, browser-based MMO. The following is a trailer from mmos.com.
There're three classes in Blade & Soul: Hongmoon Rising, i.e. the Blade Master, Destroyer and Kung-Fu master. Just as in Blade & Soul, the Blade Master has high attack speed. The Destroyer wields a large axe and can use fallen enemies as weapons to hurl at other enemies. The Kung-Fu master can catch an opponent’s attack, divert the blow, and then counter-attack.
The most important system in Blade & Soul: Hongmoon Rising is Hongmoon system. Only when players reach certain levels in Hongmoon, can they acquire better equipment and special skills. Hongmoon system is thus a prey all players aim at. Apart from that, players can collect magical pets to help win a combat or yin yang plates to unlock special skills.
